The EPU Group at Turkey Point has an immediate need for a Senior Cost Engineer.
Job Description:
Monitors project progress and projects costs to completion of project. Reports negative and positive trends that will affect project cost.
Responsible for:
* Budget development and oversight, detailed analysis cost control, monthly forecasting and reporting
* Development and maintenance of Databases/spreadsheets as needed for cost analysis and reporting
* Maintain monthly commitment & accrual requests
* Provide updates on Capital Work Orders (In-Service Date, Change in Scope)
* Integrates vendor, contractor efforts in the area of cost reporting and controls
*Supports Project Managers in the preparation and routing of scope control, estimate revisions, preparation of project cash flows and integrates cost data from all input sources
* Supports estimating and scheduling efforts as requested.
* Understands Earned Value Analysis (EVA), schedule critical path and dependencies.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* Five to seven years of extensive costing experience in construction and/or maintenance work at an operating nuclear facility
* Must work well in a team environment and be self-motivated, responsible and reliable
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to plan, organize, budget, organize and monitor progress necessary to evaluate performance against plans. Adequate computer skills and knowledge of problems to support job functions.
PREFERRED:
* Bachelor's degree in business related study
* Cost Engineering experience
* Scheduling experience with Primavera

THE MANAGER IS NOT LOOKING FOR SCHEDULERS OR ESTIMATORS WHO HAVE DONE COSTING BUT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR TRUE COSTING PROFESSIONALS. THE STANDARD PER DIEM FOR THIS POSITION IS $120 A DAY.
